NJ shootings a anti-hate crime??

Keith Boykin (www.keithboykin.com), Rod 2.0 (www.rodonline.typepad.com), and the Washington Blade( http://www.washblade.com/thelatest/thelatest.cfm?blog_id=14417) have all been reporting on their websites this afternoon that the August 4 shooting of 4 college kids, which 3 of them were killed execution style as an anti-hate crime now. Their names were 20-year-old Dashon Harvey, 18-year-old Terrance Aeriel and 20-year-old Iofemi Hightower the lone survivor was Aeriel's sister, Natasha Aeriel who was 19, was shot in the head but survived after hospitalization and surgery. Newark gay activist James Credle contacted Newark Mayor Cory Booker and the LGBT press because "at least one or more" of the victims were gay and "the city administration, the police, and the media" have refused to release this information. I feel that if it does come out that these kids were gay and lesbians that they hate crime laws should go into effect. Also to note In the weeks following the murders, police filed murder and robbery charges against six males in connection with the case. Three of the six are juveniles. The authorities also wouldnt comment on whether they are investing what the motives were, but that robbery was a factor.
