Boi oh Boi i dont know what to say about this weekend at all. Um was it the outrageous prices to get into the clubs if you didnt have a VIP card. Was it the shuttle service that was suppose to shuttle everyone to all the events that took forever and a day to get people from the host hotel to the events. Was it the beach bash at Halouver Beach on sunday that showed black gay men of all shades of color and sizes flaunting their sexuality from the hard core masculine dudes to the fem queens shaking it like a salt shaker in little to nothing on even though the beach is sectioned off as a clothing optional beach. Or was it Derrick L. Briggs topic discussion on sex and the internet that brought 30 intelligent black gay men together on sunday while everyone else was preparing to go to do the beach to talk about sex and why we need to look for it so much via the internet.The topic discussion by far to me was the best event of the weekend even though it was not promoted as much as it should have been. But 30 black gay men took time to take part in something meaningful when they could have been doing other stuff to come in a room and talk about real issues was amazing and great. Thanks to derrick briggs for doing the event and i cant wait to take part in the next one in atl for atl black gay pride during the labor day weekend. Overall sizzle weekend this year will go down in history as a very unsuccessful weekend. Yes thousnads and thousands of black gay men came to miami to take part in the events and yes the clubs were pack to capacity, i just feel if they had more non-partying events happening and less overpriced club entrance fees i think people would be alot happy. I am sure Dwight Powell is smiling in his sleep as every damn event costed 30.00 bucks or more. When people take part in these pride festivities even though sizzle is not a pride event they come to relax, enjoy themselves and party. Not spend their whole bank account on a damn trip. These are just my thoughts and observations over the Sizzle Miami Weekend which i have been hyping the last few months on this site.
