In The Life Atlanta a non-profit Organization in Atl is the mother of the Labor Day festivities and this year they have a very explosive lineup of events for everyone. Here are some of my hightlighted events that i think everyone should check out: starting Thursday August 30 when Black gay leaders hold special town hall meeting to
kick off ITLA Black Pride festival. Then its on to Saturday September 1 when there will be a busy day of events starting with A Conversation with Jonathan Plummer:His controversial divorce from acclaimed author Terry McMillan created a media frenzy, now find out how Jonathan Plummer is negotiating life on his own terms. Moderated by award-winning journalist Anaré V. Holmes, Chairman of the See Us In The Life Film Festival. After the talk In The Life Atl will be holding a Film Festival and the movies showing are as followed:Blueprint by Kirk Shannon-Butts. Don’t Go by Amber Sharp. The AIDS Chronicles by Bailey Barash. 40 min. and finally there is Silence After The Club by Willie Brown. 20 min. From 4-7 there will be a Literary Cafe where: Lisa C. Moore of Voices Rising,Kimberly Q of Orchids II,Vincent Tolliver of Baptized, Fiona Zedde of Every Dark Desire, Timothy D. Then on Sunday its time to take it to the park where every one will be seen at Piedmont Park where there will be a host of fun and events happening.
