The wait is over! Excited by the buzz surrounding its national release, Codeblack Entertainment/FOX Pictures have moved up the release of Dirty Laundry in select cities. DIRTY LAUNDRY will be released in theaters DECEMBER 7, 2007 in New York, Washington, DC, Atlanta & Baltimore. WE NEED YOUR HELP IN SPREADING THE WORD! This award winning film created quite a stir during its 12-city summer tour culminating in two wins at the famed American Black Film Festival (Best Picture and Best Actor - Loretta Devine). Now, you can see this great film for yourself!

Writer-Director MAURICE JAMALmakes a quantum leap with his new film, DIRTY LAUNDRY a hilarious comedy about family drama. Just as Soul Food and The Birdcage dealt with issues affecting our families through comedy; DIRTY LAUNDRY is that rare independent film that will affect the way families relate to one another all while entertaining you and making you laugh. It has played to sold-out sneak peek screenings at theaters and festivals across the country.

GAYLE KING (Editor-At-Large, O Magazine) proclaims, "this is a very important story that has never been told before."

A modern-day prodigal son story with a twist, the film follows the Davis family. They are a traditional southern family lead by Evelyn, who is brilliantly played by LORETTA DEVINE(Dreamgirls,Waiting To Exhale), dealing with the return of Patrick, played by ROCKMOND DUNBAR (Prison Break, Soul Food). After ten years, Patrick has returned to discover a secret that could rock his seemingly "perfect" life as a New York magazine writer. But wait, Evelyn's own story holds as much drama and secrecy as her son's. As various secrets are revealed, we take a riotous ride with this family as they deal with all of the unresolved issues that have been brewing for years. The film features standout performances from JENIFER LEWIS (Cars, Madea's Family Reunion), Queen of Comedy SOMMORE, TERRI J. VAUGHN (The Steve Harvey Show, Daddy's Little Girls) and a surprise turn from Writer-Director MAURICE JAMAL. Supermodel and TV host VERONICA WEBB and gospel legend DR. BOBBY JONES also make notable appearances.
