wow what an amazing expierence. 3500 people walked 6.5 miles through downtown ft.lauderdale for a great cause on a sunday morning. Bright and early at 10am the walk started at first i didnt think i would be able to complete the walk since it was hott as hell outside and 2nd because i had never walked that long of a distance before. But i did i finished the walk in 1 hour and 45 mins. Before the walk there was a opening ceremony where Ms.Patti Labelle performed and their was a special apperence by Jai Rodriguez of Queer Guy for the Straight Guy. 450,000was raised which was 150,000 more than last year and 10,000 more people walked than last year. It was great to see the black gay community out in full force as well. Thanks to Anthony, Angel, Willie, Michael, all the social sevices agecies, the clubs/bars, and regular evey day people who can out to support this great event.
