Texas university giving freshmen iPhones and iPod touches

Schools and universities are often big fans of Apple products, which usually translates to labs and laptop carts full of Macs. Educational institutions across the country have also started to provide students with personal laptops. Louisiana recently launched a program to distribute MacBooks to elementary school students, and now Abilene Christian University in Texas is getting into the act as well. But rather than handing out MacBooks, the university will be distributing iPhones and iPod touches to all incoming freshmen.

ACU began exploring uses for mobile devices in the summer of 2007 and ran a pilot study with faculty and and educational technology developers to determine how the iPhone could be used by students. The group came up with quite a few uses for the devices, devising more than 15 iPhone applications that they hoped will be useful to students. These applications include homework alerts, in-class surveys, directions to classrooms and offices, and meal balance information, just to name a few.

The iPhone and iPod touch program is a direct result of the study, and the usage patterns of the incoming freshman class will shape future mobile device programs at ACU. The school is also considering other ways to integrate technology and education. CIO Kevin Roberts made a recent presentation to Apple and a number of other institutions (including most of the Ivy League) about the iPhone programs, so perhaps more schools will follow suit in the future.

Gay Porn stars Arrested in connection to 35 robberies

Twins arrested in connection with over 35 robberies

Clik magazine models and gay porn star Taleon and Keyontyli Goffney who u have seen Blackmen.net, EbonyD and Flavaworks, both 26 and twin brothers were arrested Wednesday in connection with robbing dozens of stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Keyontyli and Taleon Goffney allegedly broke in through the roof at night, police said. Police said the two men are suspected in at least 35 break-ins. The brothers were caught in Philadelphia, but Delaware County police have filed burglary charges against them, too. Police in South Jersey said they think the pair is behind a string of break-ins in the Garden State. Investigators said they believe the brothers break in through the roof, and climb down from a rope.

Keyontyli and Taleon Goffney, both 26, were arrested around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. Police said the men used two-way walkie-talkies to communicate. Taleon Goffney allegedly climbed onto the roof and cut his way through while Keyontyli Goffney served as a lookout in the parking lot, police said. In May 2006, Taleon Goffney, a Maple Shade resident, dove from a moving police cruiser after he broke a window by head-butting it. He had been arrested on drug charges and a weapons possession charge.

During the escape, Goffney allegedly assaulted two Clementon police officers and fled through a wooded area near the White Horse Pike while barefoot and handcuffed. He eluded police for a week. The status of the charges against him resulting from that incident were unavailable Thursday night. He has a previous robbery conviction in Camden County and was paroled in March 2004 after serving nearly three years of a seven-year sentence in state prison, according to the state Department of Corrections. Keyontyli Goffney is a resident of Arlington, Hudson County, officials said.

Boris Kodjoe replaces Terrance Howard in Broadway Play

According to http://www.broadway.com actor-model Boris Kodjoe will assume the role of Brick in the Broadway revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof during a six-week-long movie-related leave of absence by Terrence Howard. Howard, who is currently in previews in Debbie Allen's production of the Tennessee Williams classic, will be out from April 15 to May 22 and will return on May 23. The limited engagement of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is now scheduled to run at the Broadhurst Theatre through June 15. Opening night is March 6. In addition to Howard, the cast of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof includes Phylicia Rashad as Big Mama, James Earl Jones as Big Daddy and Anika Noni Rose as Brick's unhappy wife, Maggie "the Cat," with Lisa Arrindell Anderson, Giancarlo Esposito, Count Stovall and Lou Myers.

The Austrian-born Kodjoe starred in the TV series Soul Food and Second Time Around and has appeared in film such as Madea's Family Reunion, All About Us, Brown Sugar and Love and Basketball. He will appear in Screen Gems' Marauder, part of the Starship Troopers franchise, later this year. A successful Ford model in the 1990s, Kodjoe was named one of the "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" by People magazine in 2002.

Teenage boy dressed as woman shot dead

A young man named Sammie L. Williams Jr. dressed as a woman was fatally shot in a Fort Lauderdale neighborhood known for transvestite prostitution early Friday February 22,2008. Williams, 17, had been shot dead at the corner of Sistrunk Boulevard (Northwest Sixth Street) and 10th Avenue.

The circumstances of the killing -- the victim was wearing women's clothes and gunned down in a neighborhood known for transvestite prostitution -- shocked his mother and left police scrambling to find his killer. It is believed that Williams, who also went by the names Chris and Beyoncé, was involved in an argument with two men, both dressed in black, said Detective Kathy Collins, a Fort Lauderdale police spokeswoman. People nearby heard gunshots and saw the men run off. Williams was killed about a mile from the site of a similar and still unsolved homicide.

Timothy Broadus, a prostitute dressed in women's clothes and a wig, was gunned down in the 500 block of Northwest 21st Avenue the morning of Jan. 8, 2003. Witnesses at the time told Fort Lauderdale police they heard gunshots while Broadus was talking to a man in a silver or gray Honda. The car then sped away and Broadus, who used the name Cinnamon on the street, ran for a short distance before collapsing.

Here is what happen to get them kicked off the air 2 years ago. Star & Buc Wild are American radio personalities. Their New York City top-rated morning show was on radio from 2000 to 2006. At its peak, the Star & Buc Wild Show rated higher than The Howard Stern Show. [1] On May 10, 2006, the show was canceled by Clear Channel Radio because of extremely controversial on-air comments made about DJ Envy's family.

The Mega Media Group announced on November 28, 2007 the return of the Star & Buc Wild Show starting on February 4 as part of a format change for 87.7 FM called Pulse 87. [2] Tuesday, Feb.19th, 2008...the date which represents the relaunch, and new radio home of the Star & Bucwild radio show on Pulse87, which is also boasting a new Top40 format. The morning show can be heard on 87.7FM from 6a-10a, & heard streaming live @ Pulse87.com

Now i gave you the summary of what happen and now here is the history behind Star & Buc Wild.

History
Star (real name: Troi Torain) and his stepbrother Buc Wild (real name: Timothy Joseph) began their career as publishers of their own magazine "Around the Way Connections" from 1993 to 1997. They then went on to write a monthly column called "Reality Check" in The Source magazine (1995 - 1998). The duo then started producing and directing their Public Access show (1998 – 1999). From there the boys became the host of MTV's Beat Suite show (1999 - 2000).

In March 2000 they became the host of the Star & Buc Wild Morning Show on Hot 97 in NYC. The show gained popularity but gained negative attention in 2001 for playing obnoxious sound effects while reporting the death of R&B singer Aaliyah.

Nonetheless, Star & Buc Wild had continued success, later beating rival shock-jock Howard Stern for the #1 spot on morning radio.[citation needed] However, in 2003 Emmis Communications and the show parted ways. Soon thereafter, the show signed a lucrative deal with Emmis Communications' rival Clear Channel. The show however, would not be heard in NYC for quite some time as a contractual non-compete clause with Emmis was in effect. In the meantime, they worked in Hartford, Connecticut on Power 104.1 (the same signal that once hosted Bubba the Love Sponge in mornings when it was modern rock WMRQ) and then in Philadelphia on Power 99.

The show again drew attention in 2004 for playing a recording of a prank call to an Indian call center in which the show hosts heaped racist and misogynistic abuse on the Indian call center operator. They called the woman a "bitch", "dirty rat eater", "filthy rat eater", and threatened to "choke the fuck out of her". The show hosts received a one-day suspension over this incident.

The Star & Buc Wild show's primary personalities included producer Miguel Candaleria, who had been with the duo since Hot 97; White Trash Helene, Chris the Queer (who was the show's gay newsman), DX 21, and Torain's brother Timothy Joseph aka Buc Wild.

You know i was watching B. Scott today on youtube and if you are a b. scott fan you know he is wild and zany and always entertaining but today i got to see another side of him. The side wear he pour out his heart to the world as he is still dealing with the death of his sister 13 years ago. So my response to his question was if you loss someone how do u deal with it. I have loss people and i dnt think you ever heal from the pain and wounds. But i dnt know if it is a good thing to have a long mourning period, but then again your remebering their memory and by remebering them they will also be around right?? so let me know what you think. post comments and share you feelings. 2008 RED PARTY WEEKEND REVIEW Pt. 2

I must admit that i never got into the whole I Love New York show even from when she was on Flava of Love i am not a big reality series fan. But i am glad i did get the opportunity to meet Tiffany Pollard better know to the world as NEW York from the VH1reality series this past friday nite. Thanks to Tron of whatsthet.com and Daryl Wilson Promotion i was included along with the Winner of You Got Love for New York Contest who is from the Washington DC metro area his name is "Seven" a local make-up artist. www.myspace.com/yesseven in taking part in this event. The evening was wonderful we ate at mccormick and schmick's seafood restaurant in the heart of DC. Tiffant is a very sweet down to earth women who at the the end of the day is just a regular person but when the cameras are on she has to protray New York. No she wasnt ghetto, she wasnt a diva, she was very classy and eloquent. The people of DC Metro area came out and showed their love for her at Club Evvy later that evening and as you can tell from the pics she really had a blast.

The cast was introduced at this past Pride festivities in ATL but according to Director Maurice Jamal who has brought us Ski Trip, and now Dirty Laundry says that filming is schedule to take place in April and that is all he can say on it. So hopefully the movie does go off with out a hitched. So stay tuned. Remebering Rashawn Brazell 3 yrs later

In February 2005, after he disappeared from his home in Bushwick, Brooklyn, 19-year-old Brazell's dismembered body parts were found in garbage bags strewn throughout the borough. Though his story was initially refused coverage in most mainstream media outlets, it incited overwhelming responses from bloggers, activists and outraged community members alike who complained that his horrific murder received such limited coverage because he was a black gay working-class male.

America's Most Wanted profiled the case three times: September 29,2005, April 01,2006and December 09, 2006.

Rashawn's family reports that on the morning of February 14, 2005, Rashawn was scheduled to meet his accountant and then meet his mother for lunch in Manhattan. At 7:30 that morning, an unknown person rang the apartment building's security buzzer and Rashawn went down to meet him. According to other witnesses, Rashawn met a man outside his Brooklyn, New York apartment and the two men entered the subway together at the Gates Avenue J Line. Witnesses believe the two exited at the Nostrand Avenue A Line in Bedford Stuyvesant a short time later.

In 2005, The Rashawn Brazell Memorial Scholarship was created to encourage New York City high school students to reflect upon Brazell’s legacy of selfless service and to think critically about the impact of intolerance and violence on their communities.

Shortly thereafter, The Rashawn Brazell Memorial Fund was established to undertake the broader work of strengthening ties between communities formed around sexual identity and those formed around racial identity as a means of promoting tolerance and diversity.

Noah's Arc Movie gets the Green Light

Hey Noah's Arc fans the movie is finally on the way and production for the film begins next month and the entire cast is back. Yes thats right Ricky,Noah,Chance, and Rodney all back. John Legend to make acting debut in Fall 2008

John Legend will be making his big screen debut as he joins the cast of Soul Men alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes. Soul Men, not the sequel to Soul Plane, is about two former bandmates (Jackson and Mac) forced to reunite when a third member (Legend) passes away. The pair fight with each other all the way across the country when they're forced to take a road trip together for a reunion concert. Soul Men is directed by Malcolm D. Lee (Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins) and will be in theaters on October 10, 2008.

yes according to reports it is indeed true that Girlfriends will end their 8 year run tonite at 8pm on the CW it became the longest-running live-action sitcom currently on network television, as well as one of the highest-rated scripted shows on television among African-American adults and women 18-34. The final episode will be shown tonite. This is all due to the Writer's Guild Strike it sucks that this had to happen and they were given a proper series finale.

The CW Television Network may have ended the series on Monday, February 11th, without so much as a proper series finale. However, the more people that voice their complaints to The CW and CBS, then The CW may film a finale hour long finale. A lot of you slept on one of the best gospel cds of 2006/2007 and that was Coko's cd "Grateful" formerly of the platinum group SWV. The cd didn't get much press but it deserves 5 stars.....from beginning to end Coko shows maturity in her voice and her love for GOD. Trust me this album will inpire you. With the smash hit "Endow Me" featuring Faith Evans, Fantasia and Lil Mo, "Grateful" is a must have album to keep for years in heavy rotation!

Over the weekend Sean John held his Fashion Show in New York for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Sean John Style he had all black male models modeling his new collection something thats has never happened. And to top it all off he had Tyson Beckford walk down the runway to end the show. I guess that means that their beef is now over since Tyson walked the runway. Tyson Beckford had this to say about the all black male models. "the lack of black models this season has been particularly acute. "What happened to all the black people on the runway? ... There used to be myself, Naomi Campbell, Veronica Webb, Tyra Banks. There used to be a lot of us out there, but today a lot of the designers just aren't catering to black people." It was very good to see Tyson and Diddy end their fueding for now.

The Grammy goes too.....

The grammy's award show was ok this year i am mad Janet didnt performed as it was previously rumored that she might since her album is coming out on Feb 26. The best performance for me of the evening was Kanye West performance of "Stonger" and his touching tribute to his mom. But the thing that had a sour taste in my mouth is his dissed to rapper Common who he won a grammy with. This is what he had to say "You shouldn't release an album the same year as me!" But he was thrown shade back to twice in the night by vince gill who when accepting his award said in "I bet you never recieved an award from a beatle" and then at the end of the evening when the last award was given Usher had this to say "everyone is a winner and no one is a loser Kanye" so all in all the grammys were just ok. Was it me or did tina turner was very stiff through out her performance with Beyonce?? And what was up with Alicia Keys opening with Frank Sinitra bad choice to open up the 50th Grammys i love me some Alicia but i am sure they could have found someone else and her hairdo oh my god was a mess!!

Rythem Nathaniel Blues was born and raised in sunny Miami Florida where he started singing.
When he was two years old, his mother would have him perform for the guest at their parties singing songs like Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder and Al Green.
RNB’s mother always Knew that he was a true singer so she had him practice voice lessons every day after school and at church with the Glendale Baptist Youth Choir where he learned most of his vocal skill.
At the tender age of ten years old RNB started singing in talent shows and with different choirs in the city. RNB was approached by many managements and labels but being so young in the entertainment industry is not what his parents wanted for him at a young age.
While still in school RNB song background for Virgin Records, artists as well as performed with known artists like Pattie label and opening up for Biggie Smalls.

RNB finished school and moved to Atlanta to pursue his dream of being a true Rnb singer like the singers he grew up listening to.
Not to long after he arrived to Atlanta he landed an audition with Biv10 Recording Group Subway where he became the lead singer of the group.
RNB wrote and recorded songs for subways’ new album. RNB traveled and performed with subway meeting talented artist along the way and understanding the music business and how it works. After three years with the group RNB wanted to move forth with his solo career so RNB moved to Los Angeles for a fresh start.

RNB knew the first thing he had to do when he got to Los Angeles is to find really good producers and writers to help bring his dreams to life.
RNB found a writing team that he writes with for other artist as well as himself. Through this writing team came talented producers and access to studios to help bring all the ideas the RNB has to life.

RNB landed a song on the hit HBO show the Wire with the help of fellow friend and actor in the show The Wire Alfonso Lover. RNB has been offered to do more songs for the show and songs for an upcoming movie that’s in pre-production at this moment.

Jay-Z & Mary J. Blige Embark On Co-Headlining Tour

According to SOHH.com Mary J Blige and Jay-Z to Co-Headline Tour starting next month in Miami. The announcement is below.

Two of the biggest names in Hip-Hop and R&B will be sharing a bill this year. Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige will take off on a 25-date North American co-headlining tour together beginning next month in Miami.

The "Mary J. Blige & Jay-Z: Heart of the City" tour will kick off at Miami's American Airlines Arena and go on to cover the East coast while also stopping off in New Orleans, Houston, Las Vegas and Oakland, according to a press release. The tour will also hit L.A.'s Hollywood Bowl on April 16th.

The first time the two headliners worked together was back in 1996 on the classic "Can't Knock the Hustle" off Jay's first album, Reasonable Doubt, and since then their separate careers have each taken off.

Mary has eight platinum and multi-platinum albums under her belt with six Grammys on her shelf while Jay has also earned multiple Grammys, American Music Awards and VMA wins. Together, the two headliners have sold 70 million albums world wide and boast 12 Grammy wins.

The "Mary J. Blige & Jay-Z:Heart of the City" tour will feature music from Jay's 2006 Kingdom Come album and his heavily praised 2007 concept album American Gangster.

Mary will also perform songs from her current album, Growing Pains. The Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul's eighth release went platinum in three weeks and is still holding steady in the top 10 on Billboard in its seven weeks on the charts.

Janet Talks Divorce,Her Father and Virgin Records

In an interview with the UK’s Touch Magazine, Janet has revealed that she left Virgin Records because they wouldn’t continue to support 20 Y.O and her desire to release the song Enjoy as a single.

She also details how boyfriend Jermaine Dupri surprised her on Valentine’s Day last year with a romantic dinner at the Atlanta Aquarium.

In a new interview with America’s Parade Magazine, Janet has spoken out against her father and blamed herself for her failed marriages saying she was too loyal and giving.

On her father:

“It’s a very cold world, and to have gone through what she has had to experience, from having polio as a child to those things with my brother Michael, and then for my father to have had another child.

“I’ve been cheated on a lot. I know what that feels like and how that hurts the heart. But, I mean, to give us a half-sister, I can’t even fathom what that’s like for mother.

“For her to stay with my father all these years and never abandon her kids, that’s true love.”

On marriage:

“After two divorces, I thought I was jinxed: ‘Maybe marriage isn’t for me? Maybe it’s my fault it never works.’ “I was always faithful. I always tried to give of myself. I was very loyal.

But maybe I’m the problem. I’m to blame.” And she insists her reluctance to wed again is an effort to avoid another crushing heartbreak.

One of Washington’s largest black Baptist churches was rocked by a female member of its choir who sent separate e-mail messages to the pastor in December and January outing more than 100 church members as gay, mostly male choir members.

The outings added to the inner turmoil experienced by a large number of gays who attend services at the 7,000-member Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church, located on Rhode Island Ave., N.E., according to a gay former member who provided copies of the e-mails to the Blade.

“I will be leaving the choir at the top of the year because 80 percent of the tenors are homosexuals and act more like a female in choir rehearsal than I do,” the church choir member said in one of her e-mails to Bishop Alfred Owens Jr., the church pastor.

The e-mail, sent in December, identifies about 45 fellow church members as gay. She sent a second e-mail to Owens on Jan. 2 identifying another 62 church members as gay.

“The following people I am asking you to monitor very closely and my prayer is that you will sit them down from their ministries,” she told Owens in the December e-mail. “Because they are ushering in the presence of sin, lies, a spirit of homosexuality and sexual spirits.”

She sent a copy of her e-mails to a Yahoo list group that goes to more than 300 church members, the gay former church member said.

The gay former church member redacted all of the names from the copies of the e-mails he sent to the Blade, including the name of the choir member who orchestrated the outings.

Officials with the National Black Justice Coalition, a Washington-based group that advocates for African-American gays, and the D.C. Coalition of Black Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Men & Women, said they have seen or spoken with people who have seen un-redacted copies of the e-mails.

“There’s no doubt that these e-mails included all those names and they were read by a lot of people,” said Brian Watson, president of the D.C. Coalition.

Owens and Greater Mount Calvary Associate Pastor T. Cedric Brown did not return calls seeking comment by press time.

Owens became the subject of media attention in April 2006 when he used the word “fag” in a sermon on Palm Sunday.

“It takes real men to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior,” Owens said in the sermon, which was recorded by the church. “I’m not talking about no faggot or no sissy,” he said. “Let the real men come down here and take a bow — all the real men. I’m talking about straight men … praise God that you’re straight.”

The church’s web site includes a listing of twice-monthly sessions of a ministry called “Breaking the Chains of Homosexuality,” which it says helps gays change their sexual orientation through counseling and prayer. Minister Dennis Sawyers, an expert in “ex-gay” ministries, is listed as the leader of the church’s efforts to counsel gays.

The former gay member of Greater Mount Calvary who provided copies of the outing e-mails to the Blade, has withheld his own name. He used the pen name “Jeff Hammer” in his own e-mail correspondence with the Blade.

He said Owens responded to the first e-mail by calling a meeting of all members of the church’s numerous singing groups. The groups include the Alfred Owens Chorale, the Sanctuary Choir, the Celebration Choir, Voices of Calvary and the Male Chorus, among other groups.

“He said he only wanted to help people who wanted help to not be gay and that he was willing to help anybody change from being gay,” the former church member said.

The former member quoted Owens as telling people attending the meeting, “The Bible says that wheat and tares grow together but there are too many tares. When the tares outnumber the wheat I got to do something.”

According to the former church member, Owens said, “I’m going to meet with all the people mentioned in the e-mail and use my discernment to figure out who needs to be monitored or sat down from what they do …”

“My name was not on the list in any of these e-mails, but I think it is horrible,” the former church member said. “We give, pay tithes, dues and whatever, and this is how we are treated,” he said. “This is discrimination, humiliation and just mean.”

Sylvia Rhue, director of the National Black Justice Coalition’s religious affairs program and a licensed clinical therapist with a doctorate in human sexuality, said she was troubled but not surprised to hear that a large number of gays continue to join and worship at a church like Greater Mount Calvary.

“We know that many of the gays that go there like the traditional setting of a church like that,” she said. “It tears at your soul. It has the potential of causing depression, drug use and other harmful effects.”

Rhue said the NBJC recently released a publication called “Guide To Welcoming Congrega-tions in the African-American Tradition,” which offers suggestions on how traditional black churches can be open and supportive of gays while remaining faithful to biblical teachings.

Watson of the D.C. Coalition said he knows a number of gays who remain members of Greater Mount Calvary, something Watson said he finds difficult to understand. As someone one who was raised in a church-going family in Oklahoma City, Watson said he attended services at Greater Mount Calvary when he moved to D.C.

“I did not join because the views there are clearly homophobic,” he said. “But it seems to be one of the more popular churches among black gays … I don’t know why these people keep going back there.”

Rick Rosendall, a spokesperson for the D.C. Gay & Lesbian Activists Alliance, said he, too, was troubled over why so many gays would continue to attend and support a church that is less than welcoming to them.

“Our city has several welcoming and affirming congregations,” he said. “In the end, there is little that can be done for people who utterly refuse to respect themselves enough to stand up for themselves. If this particular incident wakes up some people and causes them to reevaluate their association with anti-gay churches and ministers, that could be the start of a salutary movement.”

The choir member who initiated the outing campaign at Greater Mount Calvary introduced herself to Bishop Owens as a deeply concerned member of the church.

“I am a female who has been a member of the Alfred A. Owens Chorale over five years,” she wrote in the first e-mail. “I have many friends in all of the choirs. However, people talk in my choir and I have overheard so many conversations, and pictures tell no lie.”

She added, “90.9 percent of the tenors in Sanctuary choir are homosexual. 99.9 percent of all the tenors in Celebration Choir are homosexual, including xxxxxx, but he is very undercover, aka, down low with his sex life.”

After naming more than a dozen men she claims are gay, she pointed to someone else she said was gay who “serves on the ushers board” and who “is always at gay parties drinking and drugging and is currently living with his boyfriend, Deacon xxxxx.”

She said another choir member “visits the gay clubs in the area weekly, i.e., the Bachelors Mill, the Delta, the Fireplace and Halo. He also attends private sex parties that male members of your choirs are having at their homes and hotels.”

The gay former church member who sent the outing e-mails to the Blade also sent a copy of a separate e-mail from an outraged gay church member who was among those named in the first two e-mails as gay.

“I do not believe that someone would [have] the nerve to put my name to a list of known gays,” he wrote in an e-mail sent to Owens and members of the church Yahoo group. “This has gone too far, I am not going down by myself.”

He went on to name other gays, including some in high-level church positions.

“It is so bad that in the last e-mail we are turning on each other,” the gay former church member, who sent copies of the e-mails to the Blade, said. “Although I wanted to remain anonymous, someone has to do something.”

Leaders of two of D.C.’s largest gay churches, acting Pastor Mark Byrd of Metropolitan Community Church of Washington, and Bishop Kwabena Rainey Cheeks of Inner Light Ministries, did not respond to requests for comment on the Greater Mount Calvary outings by press time.

If the churches have that much POWER on an independent movie then what does that say about all the other movies that are suppose to be hitting the theaters this year. Larry B. Carter II was born in Philadelphia PA, which is why he goes by Phylle (pronounced Philly), but reared in Norfolk VA. Little did he know he would be living and growing up in what would be a “Hotbed” for urban music in Virginia and the United States. Tidewater has become home for such music indsustry greats as Teddy Riley, Missy Elliot and Timbaland.

Phylle was truly inspired by God. He later developed his appreciation and inspiration for the R&B culture from such greats as Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige and Michael Jackson. Phylle learned at an early age to express his feelings through music. He has a style of his own which can be described as “diversified”, some songs are laid back while other are raw with rough beats and lyrics to back him up.

Phylle will bring to the music industry the image of an accomplished songwriter, with a unique style and sex appeal. By blending the new with the old Phylle has created a sound for all ages to enjoy. So “watch out ladies”, Phylle has arrived and is taking the R&B world by storm with smooth vocals and style. He is “The One”.

New Tyrese-With Me (Prod. By Underdogs)

Tyrese Gibson is back with his new song "With Me" take a listen. This is the first track off of his upcoming album that is slated to be released later this year entitled Black Rose. The album will probably feature Jay-Z, Andrew Falzon, Beanie Sigel, Eminem, Canibus, The Game, Akon, Ne-Yo, Cassidy,Ludacris Mario Winans, Mario, Justin Timberlake,Ciara, Melody Thornton and Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, T.I., Chamillionaire, 50 Cent, Chingy & his newly formed group TGT. Producers will be Kanye West, Just Blaze, Swizz Beatz, Dr. Dre, Rockwilder, Timbaland and his production team, The Frontline Boyz. According to mtv.com, Tyrese has already recorded 14 tracks for the album. Also has an upcoming movie this year entitled Death Race.
